Tabletalk Conversation Cards

Great Idea

This product is a great idea for those folks who find it difficult to start conversations. Pick one card, and the topic most often leads to another topic, then another. Very handy and entertaining!

Chat Pack

Pick any card and use it as a starting point for everything from a smart one-liner comeback to an all-night in-depth conversation that will let you learn about your family and friends from new and different perspectives. For example:

* "If you could have any object or place to yourself for one day, what would you choose?"

* "You've been given the chance to travel into the future to see how the world will change over the next 50 years. What in particular are you most interested in?

Conversationally Speaking : Tested New Ways to Increase Your Personal and Social Effectiveness

I had considered myself a very shy person, never knowing what to say to new people, so I decided to read this book. This book is a very helpful book. The author, Alan Garner, takes you through his step by step Conversationally Speaking course, which will help anyone who has any problems striking conversation.

Confident Conversation: How to Communicate Successfully in Any Situation

Some people might look at the title of this book and think they don't need this book. But, as the author states, communication skills are just like a house re-modeling--some people need a complete renovation, others just need a paint touch-up of their skills.

The book is pretty inexpensive, but has given me some new ideas in how I conduct myself in social communication situations.

Just think of how much money you spend on improving your golf score or your musical skills through lessons. How much do you spend on bettering your communication skills?

Tricks for Making Conversations Easy

"How to Talk to Anyone" is filled with wonderful gems of knowledge. And, as someone who works in pharmaceutical clinical research, I appreciate how she backs up her techniques with research studies and statistics (this book is based on science, not fluff!). Leil's witty and straight-forward writing style truly makes her book come to life. My friends and I often go to the park and read her pearls of wisdom out loud...her tell-it-like-it-is New York attitude is so refreshing! I've read this book several times- each time serves as a nice refresher course.
